Join our team as a skilled Data Engineer! We’re on the hunt for someone who thrives in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of data. You will have an opportunity to: 

• Build and orchestrate batch and real-time data pipelines from disparate data sources (Kafka streams, APIs, databases, files, etc)
• Drive the evolution of data platform by developing and implementing underlying logic and structure for how data is acquired, cleaned, modeled, and stored
• Practice and advance your technical skills by writing complex ETL/ELT jobs, SQL queries, Python scripts and API calls
• Build scalable data aggregation layer for further consumption by visualization tools and external systems
• Take ownership of a certain area within DWH and be responsible for the full cycle of its development
• Participate not only in daily tasks but in dedicated projects as well, showing your creativity and developing your expertise
• Work with the latest data and cloud related tools and technologies

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts and principles
• Hands-on experience working with Snowflake DWH and its ecosystem
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, with experience in strategizing query optimization for cost and performance
• Good grasp of Python
• Ability to handle various data formats (CSV, JSON, Parquet, etc)
• Experience working with at least one cloud platform
• Acquaintance with Apache Airflow or similar tool
• At least some DBT experience
• Aspiration to understand business logic/meaning behind the data
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and create POC
• Fluency in English and ability to express your thoughts clearly

It would be beneficial if you also have:

• Understanding of different data modeling techniques
• Hands-on experience with GCP services like Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GCS, Pub/Sub etc
• Knowledge of gambling or gaming industry
• Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau or similar tools)
